The Department of Information and Communications of Border Guard Service of SCNS of Kyrgyz Republic reports that as of 9 p.m., September 17, 2022 the situation at the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in Chon-Alay District of Osh Region and Batken Region remains tense.

At 7 p.m. the shelling of Kyrgyz border guard positions in the area of Karamyk, Chon-Alai district of Osh province was stopped.

At 9 p.m. another meeting of the heads of the Kyrgyz and Tajik border guard departments is scheduled to be held at the Guliston-auto checkpoint. 

Personnel of SCNS Border Guard Service units stationed in Chon-Alai district are conducting activities aimed at stabilizing the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border.
