The Department of Information and Communications of Border Guard Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that as of 6:20 pm on September 17, 2022 the situation at the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of state border in Chon-Alay district of Osh region is again characterized as tense.

Having once again violated all the agreements on ceasefire and withdrawal of troops and forces from the border line, the Tajik side opened fire with small arms and group weapons on the border guards of the "Karamyk" outpost.

Personnel of the Border Guard Service units stationed in Chon-Alay district are conducting activities aimed at stabilizing the situation.
